Data Deletion & Retention Policy

Data Deletion. Hygge Industries (Pvt) Ltd, operating the user-generated content marketing platform.

Effective date: 01.09.2026  |  Last updated: 01.09.2026

1. Overview

This page explains how to permanently delete your PolySocial account and the personal data associated with it, including data obtained through social media accounts you have connected (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, or YouTube). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions.

2. How to request deletion (in the app)

Open the PolySocial app and go to Profile → Account settings → Delete account. Type “delete me” to confirm, then enter the 6‑digit code sent to your registered email address. This starts the deletion process described in Section 4 below.

3. How to request deletion without the app

If you no longer have access to the app or your account, email support@polysocial.cc from the address registered to your account and ask us to delete your data. We will verify you are the account holder before acting on the request.

4. What happens after you request deletion

Your account is signed out immediately and cannot be signed back into. A 14‑day grace period then begins, during which you may cancel the deletion using the link sent to your email. If you do not cancel within that window, your account and data are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

5. What gets permanently deleted

  • Your profile and login — name, email, password, and account records.
  • Connected social accounts — the access tokens for any Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, or YouTube account you connected, and any post/engagement data we retrieved through those platforms’ APIs to measure Campaign performance.
  • Campaign activity — your Campaign applications and content submissions.
  • Contracts — any brand–creator agreements and their e‑signatures.
  • Wallet and payment history — your payout account details and full transaction/payout history. We do not keep a copy of this for our own records after deletion.
  • Uploaded content files — raw video, image, or other files you uploaded to the Platform, unless Section 6 below applies to that specific file.

6. What is not deleted, and why

Content you posted from your own social media account is not ours to delete — you control that directly on the relevant platform. Where you were paid for a piece of content and its copyright transferred to the Platform under our Terms and Conditions (Section 8) and Privacy Policy (Section 5), that content is not deleted, because it is no longer your personal data at that point — it belongs to the Platform, the same as it would if you had licensed it to any other company before closing your account.

7. Revoking access directly on a connected platform

You can also remove PolySocial’s access to your Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, or YouTube account at any time from that platform’s own settings (for example, Instagram/Facebook: Settings → Apps and Websites), independently of deleting your PolySocial account. This revokes our ability to read further data from that account immediately; it does not by itself delete data we already retrieved — use Section 2 or 3 above for that.

8. Timeframe

Deletion completes at the end of the 14‑day grace period described in Section 4. Requests submitted by email under Section 3 are processed within 30 days of us verifying the request.
